I got 2 cars. I got a 2011 fiesta ses hatch loaded with all the features for my daily driver. There is no way I would DD my cobra in the rain or snow, especially the snow. The salt would just kill it. In June 2011 I'll have my cobra for 3 years and I only got 16k miles on it haha. Before my fiesta, I had a 03 svt focus as a DD.

ive got a real nice mint condition 01 sable haha as my dd. it was my dads car and he blew the motor in it with 240,xxx on the clock and i put a new 70,000 motor in it it runs like a champ. cant say the same about ford inability to provide adequate rust proofing around the rear fenderwells. but its a dd so who cares, mustang sits in the garage.

i love not driving the mustang all the time. its gets annoying being loud and wasting so much gas.

I gave my ex my Winter DD'er (fusion) so she don't carry my kid on her back every where. In October I traded 3 Nitto's with like 60% tread left for a POS escort with 150k miles to run around town in now that my 05 is stored. I must say that with the beater I love to snow drift on secluded roads and do doughnuts in open parking lots while not worrying about effing up my car.

Was going side ways on the first winter storm for schits and giggles, I ended up in the ditch in front of my house (don't worry safety freaks my road is a dead at night and no one was driving it but me.)

Have a 2000 Focus as my DD. I drive 80 miles a day to and from work so my Mustang would've killed me on that drive. I love going from the Focus to the Mustang though. Its ridiculous, Makes it that much more fun to drive. Mustang is garaged and can't wait for the warm weather to get it back out!

I keep my stang for nice evening's and weekend cruises only. Getting 9.5 mpg sorta knocks it out from being a DD. lol

00 Sable is my regular commuter car ( although thinking of trading that in to get a 99 to 04 Mustang Convertible 6 banger for a DD ) and a F-150 4x4 for winter driving.

If you're getting 9.5 mpg in the mustang with the mods in your sig you got major problems. Might want to look at getting it tuned for real.

^^^+3. That's awful considering your pretty much light mods.

I had a 2000 V6 that was my DD, but I stupidly gave it to my niece...who doesn't even drive it and it just sits there now. never going to give a car to a family member again. She wasn't even grateful for it.

Looking towards getting a Jeep next year as a DD and selling the 03 for a 11 down the road.
