Mustang broke down, clutch? tranny?

Kid,
I was really trying to, and almost managed to, ignore your response; however your silly remarks and pronouncements are really beginning to wear thin.
First, in the 50+ years I have been driving I have likely changed out more clutches, transmissions, and other power transmission devices--on more sorts of conveyances and machinery--than you have owned automobiles or have even pleasured yourself. That you and your friends have managed to destroy stock and FRPP clutches with wimpy engines says more about your collective mechanical and driving skills than anything else.
===============================================
Now to unraveling your clutch history--in your own words.
In the recent "how may miles" thread you stated "I currently have only 65K miles on my 1996 Ford Mustang GT.", and that "[the] -Stock clutch also took a dump on me at 60K and I replaced it the same time I replaced my T45 transmission with a upgraded Centerforce Dual Friction Clutch."
(Note that there is no mention of any Spec clutch in this story--see below.)
However in earlier posts you indicated
So, combining the stories it seems:
However, 60k + 5k + 8k = 73k so how is it that as of today you have only 65k miles on the car? Have you been driving backwards for the last 5 months/8k miles?

¹ - How 'bout we all use this abbreviation so as to save time and electrons?

However in earlier posts you indicated
- That your Spec Stage 2 had failed after 5k miles (the 7/3/2010 story);
- Then you had installed the CfDFC¹ and driven it for 8k miles at the time of your "review" (the story in the 8/1/2010 "review", BTW 8k miles in 28 days is very impressive--that would be 96k per year!);
So, combining the stories it seems:
- That your stock clutch failed at 60k miles;
- You had a Spec Stage 2 clutch for 5k miles;
- And after having the CfDFC for 8k miles you wrote your mini review (8/1/2010);
- You currently have 65k miles on the car (today);
However, 60k + 5k + 8k = 73k so how is it that as of today you have only 65k miles on the car? Have you been driving backwards for the last 5 months/8k miles?
