T56. Tko's are hard to shift at higher rpm. The t56's also offer the 6th gear for highway. Just my opinion.

Peep my T-56 swap guide for some additional info to help you with your decision.

EDIT: shoot... not in my sig any more There is not enough room. Look in the "How-To's" sticky on top of the 4.6 Modular section. Darn write-ups I keep a doin'

It all depends. Some like the T56 for the extra gear on the highway. However, be careful about the T56. I was talking to Bob Hanlon and he cautioned me that just because you have a sixth gear doesn't mean you will go 200 mph or anything.
IMHO, I think the TKO is more durable. They are only 5 gears though. It is all what you like. Both can be built better.
Each tranny can get upgraded input shafts, gears deburred, and any high rpm shift issues resolved. I would pick the tranny you like and look into getting it upgraded or buying an upgraded version. Some vendors that can do that are Hanlon Motorsports(built my T45 and good people to deal with), MMR, D&D, etc.
