Default Griggs Suspension

I am looking at going with some Griggs suspension pieces. however, Im not entirely sure what i will need to do a Watts linkage. I will also be doing Coilovers. Does the Watts replace anything by its self?

Yes, but only 1/2 of what is needed to take proper advantage of it. A PHB will do a wonderful job, although not quite the same way, but a TA is needed to complete the package and tame that **** end of your ride.

I recommend you start with the suspension guide found in my sig, then onto Griggs Racing and go from there.

What is the ULTIMATE goal of your ride?

Well, I will look into that then. i just want a well rounded ride because I don't ever plan to get rid of it. So I want to get the best suspension and work over the car before I do anything with the motor. I am assuming I will be doing a Coyote Swap once there is a bit more information on it but, that's a different project. All of this was brought on by what i thought were suspension issues. Apparently The guy i bought the car from put lowering springs on the car and never upgraded the shocks and struts. And now one slider has seized into both of the Caliper brackets in the rear. So before I fix anything I want to make sure I have all the information and all of my options.

Sorry for the long post.

My recommendation would be to look into an Maximum Motorsports Max-Grip kit. There are several, actually, depending on your budget and your needs.

Head over to ***HERE*** and see what I mean.

I really liked the Watts link. Is there a comparison between the PB and the WL somewhere? What's your opinion of the two?

They do the exact same job, but the watts link is superior in a geometry sense. For one, the PHB will allow the to still have a bit of lateral movement, based on the arc, angle and length of the arm. It also applies forces into the chassis a bit diffently on each side, so is not as balanced as a WL. The WL keeps the axle 100% centered under the car and does not have the issue of in-balance that the PHB does. The WL is preferable to me, but based on the Griggs design, it would not fit without hacking up my spare tire well, so I opted for the PHB. Fays2 makes a WL that has the reverse-design of the Griggs WL and does not require the loss of spare tire well space. I like the design, but I am not overly impressed with the physical strength that it appears to have relative to the Griggs WL. The Griggs WL is an absolute beast and built for direct use on track cars. My PHB is also built for the track, but allowed me to retain the spare tire, as my "to be" and I go everywhere in my ride

I have some more info in my suspension guide, but that pretty much sums it up.

PS. I did break my PHB bracket at on point though Had to get a new one and have it welded in place.

I didn't realize the Griggs WL made you lose your Spare tire well. that's where i mounted the amps for my stereo. After looking at them I still want the WL, but it will be a different projrct in the distant future. I think Im just gonna order the MM Max Grip box. So far it seems to be the best for the price.

You won't lose all of your spare well, just the front 1/3 of it. You cannot go wrong with the Max-Grip box.

Yeah i know the Max Grip is great but, that griggs WL is just sooooo pretty..... lol. But for the price and everything you get in the max Grip I just can't justify spending another 2k just for the watts link in the griggs package. thanks for all the info. Don't suppose you know of a write up that explains the K-member swap?
