Default Camber Bolts vs. Slotting Struts

I have H&R Super Sport Springs Convertible installed on my 2001 Mustang GT Convertible and was wondering which method you guys would recommend to fix the camber; Camber Bolts or Slotting the Struts?
Has anyone has any problems with either?

I don't really want to spend so much and won't really be tracking it.

Slotting the struts sounds like a bad idea....Camber bolts are cheap enough, just go for those

Let me know how the camber bolts work out Alot of s197 guys run them! I am thinking of doing the same so I don't have to buy plates. My camber is currently at -1.2-1.3 roughly.

My 2¢ worth--buy CC plates...

Camber bolts are a kludge--and worse, who knows from what grade of steel they were made, how they were stress relieved, and heat treated--what's your life worth?

Slotting the tower, and using the stock plates, is also questionable to my mind. The stock plates are not very robust, and were engineered to work with a "non-slotted" tower. I have seen towers that have been mucked about with bent and distorted, mostly on coil-over set-ups but also if they get hacked up too much...

Buy a good set of CC plates, 4-bolt, from a reputable source...

Listen to this guy. If you wanna mod your car do it right, if you dont have then money to do it right, then dont do it at all since you can endanger yourself and others. Save up and get the CC plates, it will be well worth it.

I have camber bolts from steeda and CC plates. had to use the camber bolts using my suspension set up because the 9" rim would rub on the coil overs, i used the camber bolts to push the top of the wheel away from the strut and corrected everything with the CC plates, the camber bolts are fine just make sure you get good quality ones
