Good deal on 99 Cobra Convertible?
I have been offered a black '99 Cobra Convertible with 51k miles for $11,500. It has a clean Autocheck but was a fleet/lease vehicle out of the factory.
Here are what I can tell from the pics:
Black with tan top
Has Cobra 17" chrome wheels
Has a lightbar
Has a harness so may have been run on the track some
Otherwise it looks spotless inside, outside, and under the hood
This isn't exactly what I was looking for but if they come down some more I might go for it. What do you all think? I can get some pics but not much else to see.

The price seems about right, but I'm always cautious of 1999 cobras, as they had the recall on their intake manifold b/c the power wasnt the advertised 320bhp. Some people reported that even after they had the recall issues fixed, they still didnt get all the power. These cases are not frequent but its worth noting before spending your money.
at 11.5K, the car is decently priced, but youre not getting a steal. id try to talk him down a little more, or even better yet, look for a 2000 cobra vert IMO.

Got my '99 black Cobra Vert with Chrome cobra Rs and 83,000 miles for $8995. Drove it 500 miles home and only had one issue since. Don't hold yourself to a local sale and you can always get a deal. FYI, Look for a teal/aqua colored mark on top of the alternator to confirm the recall service.

I am definitely going to try go get them down farther. Probably try to pay 10-10.5 but maybe willing to go up to almost 11k. Time and distance are money for me, so I'm not going to travel more than probably 150 miles. This one is about 100 miles from me. I'm also impatient and busy and do want to get one before warm weather hits and prices start to rise.
Do you have an example picture of the mark on the alternator indicating the recall work? I have also heard there is some sticker or emblem somewhere in the engine bay for this. Anyone have more details on this?
