And when I get the 4.10's should I go ahead and get new bearings and/or new new LSD plates since I have 80k miles?
NP .... and no you don't need the new bearings yet its reccommended that you buy new ones i think (i would at least). As for LSD plates, Im going to say no you shouldn't esp at 80k ahaha.

(I was told this about once about LSD plates):

*LSD wear really depends on driver style and the road coniditions...easy to test...jack up the rear...have someone hold one rear wheel and try to turn the other...if you feel resistance then the lsd is still holding strong and its ok.*

Okay thats what i figured about just getting bearings. My LSD is fine. It was owned by a little old lady before me so its never really been driven hard.

And one last question..what is the typical gear install cost?

Yea then it really should be okay. Where Im at its like $400-500 (nuts man lol). I know it depends upon location because others on MF have had it done for 300ish. IDK, it really depends upon location. Call up a local shop & ask.

edit: make sure you bring your tuner too w/ you so you can recalculate ur spedo after the change.

There is a local place here that charges 250 if rear is out of car, 350 if in. Not terribly out of range I think.
