Default Anyone with HID's i need your help!

Hey Guys,

Recently my HID headlights have been on the fritz and have been working on and off, sometimes not at all. Well anyways i just got a new kit in the mail today and me and one of my buddies replaced the the ballasts and bulbs and decided to try and leave the old wiring harness intact. We went to try the lights after installing them and nothing happened. We then checked the wiring harness plug and it looked coroded and it appeared as though one of the plug in recievers had been burned out, so we took the new plug and tried it. Up until this point my Fog light HID's had been working fine and when we tried the new plug the fog lights mysteriously shut off. We are thinking its probably the old wiring harness seeing as that was the only thing not replaced, but were also not sure as to why the foglight hid's shut off as well.

Well i got a quick update, i switched around the plugs and the lights came on. Problem is the hid headlights and foglights only work when i have high beams engaged. As soon as i switch to low beams both the fog lights and headlights go out. any ideas what would cause this?

Incorrect wiring most likely.

Inside the adapter of the HIDs and your stock plugs you have the wires are hooked up wrong. What kit is it? You need to move the 2 wires around until they are in the correct location. Hope that helps.

I have a xentec bi-xenon kit from ebay. Are you refering to incorrect wiring in the wiring harness itself or the connection between the ballasts and bulbs?

Neither. You have a piece that looks like this right...

On the adapter on the right of that photo the wires in the back are located in the wrong place. You probably will have 2 wires plugged in but one is in the wrong spot.
