The IMRC's keep one intake valve closed off until about 3K RPM, then they open. Much like a 4bbl carb would open up the secondaries. If they are functioning, they give you more torque down low in the RPM range. If you delete them, you won't see jack for power until 3K RPM. The 99-03 heads don't use an IMRC.

Well, technically the 96-98 Cobra Heads flow the best with FI, but I would go with an 01 head just to avoid the headache of the IMRC.

All I can say is when I did my swap I had used the GT ecu and the cobra harness, slapped 90 bucks out for 3 power pulls on a local dyno and was VERY dissapointed when it only put 190rwhp, so you DEF want a tune lmao.

That is weird, were the IMRC's closed, or deleted?

Closed because the GT ecu could not operate them. Dealt with it for the rest of the season because I supercharged that winter and deleted them.
