Default Transmission Noise?

Sounds like the TOB. Squeaks until 1500-1600RPMs, then stops. If I push the clutch in about..half an inch the noise goes away. Rotational squeak (If you understand what I mean). Oh..not to mention I JUST had the clutch and flywheel replaced 900 miles ago. Pretty pissed...Just wanted to check and get an opinion on if it WAS the TOB.

a stock cobra clutch. I didn't install it, and I have NO idea how to adjust the clutch cable. I paid $300 in labor for install, I shouldn't have to fix anything. I'm gonna take it back out there and let him look at it...

People say the after market clutch adjustment kits work to get rid of that noise.what happens is the TB is riding on fingers of pressure plate and creates that annoying squeal of the TB.
That's why it goes away with alittle when you apply clutch.

Do you know if they replaced the clutch cable ? If it stretched out it will make your TB touch fingers on pressure plate also.
I feel your pain..My 99 GT does it as well and plan on putting a BBK or clutch adjustment kit in the spring time.

Just my 2, Good Luck

Sometimes with a bad tob, the clutch pedal will also rattle when the pedal is all the way out.

If its the original tob, it should be replaced. Why wouldn't you put one in while the trans was out?

I'm not sure if the cable was replaced, I'm guessing no, he said they reset it because it was an automatic adjusting clutch in the 03s.
