Mines at 85k and my fking differential pinion seal is leaking. That is the only problem I have had. It's probably from all the launches ive done to it. I beat the **** out of mine when it gets warm. 4.6 2v's are pretty strong.

The pinion seal is really no big deal to fix....6 bucks for the seal and a few hours worth of work at most.

I am at 250,000 KMS (bought it at 219,000kms 3 years ago) and I have had hardly any issues at all.

I bought it when I was 18 and do virtually all maintenance and mods by myself in the driveway. The only things I have needed to do were shocks (would have upgraded anyways when I lowered the car) and front brakes.

It has been a very reliable car for me.

I fixed my differential cover cuz that was leaking but now it's pinion seal. Such a pita. I've never done a pinion seal.

To further add about early pinion seal failure, ford decided to put a plastic cover or "dust sheild over the pinion seal on the mustang 8.8s, what happens is the plastic gets sharpened from movement and ends cutting the pinion seal or a peice will flake off and ruin the pinion seal, it has happened to mine and most big mustang shops will tell you to not even put it back on.

Im sitting on 140k and the only thing ive had to replace so far as been intake manifold it cracked, literally 2 days before I deployed, GT is sitting on in my driveway while im here for a year, I plan on slapping on a KB until it blows when I get home.

I mean of course i have had to swap in a new clutch or 2 from track days but thats it.
