Default picture of my TOB, pressure plate from tranny slide

this is what i stumbled upon today while inspecting the clutch cable. huge vibrations were occuring through my pedal so much that i could feel it when my foot was on the brakes, so i looked at it today.

what can i do? what should i do? can i drive it to work and school? i don't know when i will be able to afford a clutch or TOB, lots of bills and not much pay. i could prob wait to find a used clutch but i just am in shock right now. any ideas?

leave you on a flat bed tow truck helpless so,drive your mustang to

Yea he's right. A 'Centerforce Dual Friction' clutch will solve all of your problems.

dude yeah, my car isn't even powerful enough to run that clutch.....................

so what do you guys think about the look of the TOB? honestly, to me, it does look a little bit different than the last time i looked at it. it seems like the retainer is gone???? i really don't know. it's vibrating like crazy and i wrapped a rubber band around the under-dash side of the cable so the vibration isn't as bad.

it seems like something is really messed up, and when i go to slip the clutch into gear, it doesn't want to go in smoothly, it feels erratic and very rough.

i have to be slightly moving for it to go in smooth, and even then it feels like it just sort of dumps it into gear... WITHOUT the gain of speed you get when you slip the clutch.

but then again.. SOMETIMES it works well. for example... ysterday when i took the picture, i took the cable out and inspected it, put it back in, took her for a drive, and the clutch was acting very very nice, but it was still vibrating. after about 20 mins of driving, i started feeling the rough feeling coming back with the erratic slipping into gear....
