Default Question on buying.

1998 Red Mustang Gt 4.6L V8
I am currently looking at purchasing one of two mustangs. The first is a Red 98gt, original owner who properly maintained it, ordered it directly from the factory new with custom add ons. It currently has 165k Miles on it, most highway, great exterior, clean engine, and all original documentation of repairs and ownership. The interior is clean except driver seat, torn to shreds slides on rail, all leather seats, and the evaporator coils are broken for the a/c; however the sounds system lights ect are in great condition. His asking price is $3,900, a bit high I believe, but the owner needs to sell it within the month or store it for two years while out of country.

1996 Silver Base Mustang 3.6L V6
The other car is a 1996 Mustang with 117K miles on it, clean interior, cloth, working a/c and a clean motor. I have yet to do the carfax of it yet, but it has better gas millage with a V6 engine. asking price is $3,300 with TTT from a dealership, I figured I could barter lower. I am not looking to race it, too often , but I am looking for a decent sports/ muscle car and the mustang has caught my eye. My question would be with which is the wiser buy, and what do you think I should bid on either?

For $600 more you get a gt. This shouldn't even be a question IMO.

You said you are "looking for a decent sports/ muscle car". That being said, the v6 should be out of the picture. The 1996 mustang v6 would of have to had been one of the slowest Mustangs ever produced. Not the slowest but one of them lol.
