Opinions needed!!!
I went to get an oil change today and they couldnt do it. They said that there was either coolant in the oil or oil in the coolant. They said that there was some yellow in the coolant and that there was some white in the oil cap (where you add oil to). They also told me that the stick was dry. Doesnt anyone know what the problem could be? Anything would help...

Milky oil could mean head gasket on the way out. Coolant is yellow...so there isnt anything to worry about there IMO. But milky oil isnt good...and if the dipstick is dry, better put oil in there ASAP

"Dipstick is dry" means you have never (or at best recently) checked the oil and have run it down below 1-1/2 qts low. They would not proceed because they didn't want the liability of working on what may very well be a damaged engine.

The o/p gauge will not indicate any problem until the pressure drops below 6 psi--I.e. just a little bit before the engine has been damaged...

The oil on the cap is a very normal thing in the winter. It's condensation and oil mixing on the cap. I'm assuming you do alot of short trips not letting the engine burn off the condensation. The shop you took it to should have known that(unless it was Walmart)
And do you really have to ask what to do If there is no oil on the dipstick? Dipstick!

I thought everybody on this forum changed their own oil, hell I used to change mine in the street on 47 st. in Manhattan with two tires on the curb! Eff Jiffy lube and the dealer with those lab test tubes.
