Default Anybody know for sure, difference between the GT and v6 model?

Ok, outside the stuff pretty well known, such as motor, tranny, suspension, and different body styling parts on the car... is there anything else different? Mainly I mean between the unibody/frame and rear end? Are these two things the same as the GT or is it made cheaply due to not having the extra HP? Does it actullay use the 8.8" rear end or a smaller one? Anybody who knows this stuff please chime in!

its going to be the same frame and body as the GT's just different stuff. 7.5 rear end instead of an 8.8 motor trans interior. but as for the the body and the frame they are both the same for the V6, GT cobra. thats why ford developed the IRS on the cobra around the mounting points of the GT SRA. its cheaper for them to use all one body for everything.

Why exactly are you curious about the differences. Theres a million little non-important things that are different. If you narrow down your question a little but I could be more specific...if thats what your trying to get at of course

Well I'm mainly concerned about the unibody/frame. Every other thousands of little differences can be worked around for the purpose I'm thinking about. The thing is, those v-6 models are going a dime a dozen. So I'm thinking, since I'm going to buy a new block, and build an engine first, going to change the whole suspension, K-member, exhaust, tranny, rearend, and etc anyway, why not start out with a lower price on a mustang, like the v-6 model? I know I'll have to get a CPU and harness also to run the v-8. I mean it's not like everythings not going to get changed out anyway. I know, this all might sound stupid, but as long as the end result is the same, why not save the cash? Now if I could come up with a GT with a blown engine for cheap, then it's a no brainer, get the car. I just can't see dumping $8000+ into a car that I plan to change everything on. Any other suggestions why this is a bad idea? Do tell, that's why I'm researching now before I make a mistake.
