Default Painted Calipers Questions

So I just painted my rear calipers and I still have to do the fronts, but I was thinking, does anyone recommend doing a clear coat on these things or is it not really necessary?

I kind of don't want to go back and clear coat the rears, but I am considering this if it is a good idea.

I'm using that duplicolor brake caliper paint. They don't say to use it in the instructions, but I was just wondering if you should.

The paint on the calipers looks so much better than looking at my dirty metal. I don't know why I waited so long.

and if you clear coated them you seem to get more brake dust sticking to the caliper.. a buddy of mine did that... he ended up sanding and painting them again.
