Exclamation Wanting to buy 99-04 mustang gt, What should I look for?

I am trying to sell my truck

I am selling it because I am going into the Marine corps, not sure where I will be stationed and want a smaller vehicle.

I want to get a mustang GT, and I am willing to spend 13000$ MAX on one.

I am selling this truck for 21k

What can I get for 13k? Does anyone know about how many miles I should be looking at before I need to rebuild the motor, or if I should get one that has been rebuilt already? Just what do I need to look for when getting one.

I am hoping to find one with aroun 60k miles on it, and a few mods. Like exhaust and cai.

Please help me. New to mustangs

Cabs and police cars run the same 4.6 motor and they run up to like 300,000miles plus. For 13k you will find plenty of low mileage 99-04 gt's in fact they run from 7k-11k so you may be able to find a decent mach 1 or 99/01 cobra for that price. Not too many issues with these cars besides some ppl having to clean the IAC valve to clear their idle up. Ive had mine for 6 years now the only thing I had to replace is the trans temp sensor $79. They are pretty solid from my experience plus what ive been hearing thats the 99-04 gt's I speak of. No experience with the 99/01 cobra or 03-04 mach1. hope that helps a bit.

Check out some different classifieds and forums and you should be able to fin blown/supercharged stangs 99-04 for sale around 13k if you want one with a few mods.

You have to give us a minute sometimes. Idk why but some threads dont show up right away. To answer your question try and look at cars.com and ebay.com. They have some good sales sometimes. I got my car $16k cheaper then MSRP'ed. Also try looking for one with the least amount of mods; cars with the most mods have been tested (raced) the most. Hope it helps.

ya for $13,000 you can get a good lowmileage GT thats in GREAT shape. Try Autotrader.com

Maybe you could even find a MACH 1 for around $13,000 as well..maybe
