Is there a middleground of suspension that hooks, goes straight and still hugs the corners.
I should add, thats not an IRS? Also thats not gonna cost a ton of money to build?
I feel like maybe the only way is adjustable coil-overs all around with adjustable LCAs and ofc FLSFC and sticky tires?
Also, are drag radials any good for twisties? I've never actually owned DRs lol.
coil-overs are an option, i almost pulled the trigger on some rear q1a's today but damn q1a just seems expensive as hell... any other decent options?

i'm getting older and starting to shy away from straight line racing but would still like to go out to the strip once or twice a year.... i would like to race auto-x competitvly though.

Can't really have the best of both. What's good for twisties won't be good for drag racing. If you still want to be competitive in autox, just set the car up for autox and when you want to go to the drag strip, just throw on some drag radials, slicks or whatever you like to use. You won't be hardly as fast, but still have fun out there.
And no, drag radials aren't all that great for twisties either. It can be done as I have seen it done well... but you are going to give up some grip with drag radials. They just don't have the side bite like a good autox tire does.

I am with sxy and golden here
In terms of compromise, you will give up LESS bringing a twisty-built car to the 1/4 and a 1/4-built car to the quarner! Either way, this is gonna take some $$$ and a commitment to mediocrity, as our resident killer of dreams has stated.
You just need to decide what is a higher priority and build your car for such. A proper tire for each situation is gonna be the single biggest difference, so maybe consider a set of 15"s with M/T's or something for the 1/4.
