convertible top 'thing' poking out
I have a 2003 Mustang GT Convertible. I haven't owned it long, few months, but when I got it all was fine. Now, the rear most 'bow' of the top frame has something poking up almost through the top. It looks semi-sharp, not very large, like a blunt ball point pen tip. Of course I can't figure out how to see what it is.
It seems like something is attached to that rear bow to hold something, maybe the wire for the rear defrost, has rotated upwards? Is there a good method of getting in there to this area?
I searched and searched but couldn't find any info on this.
Also, if it matters, I am not a convertible owner that keeps the top up. If it isn't raining or the car isn't parked, top is down. So the top does go through quite a bit of cycling with the way I use it.
