Yeh im talking about that. Companies make an adapter to go under that. Most commonly used for wet nitrous kit appliications, but you could use it for this too.

Hey Cliff, do you happen to know anything on the drivers side of the car, underneath the dash near the fuse box, that has constant 12v, switched 12v, and a ground that i can use for my power/illumination/ground sources. I know I can run them across to the center console where my other stuff is wired but I'd like to avoid that if possible.

The fuse box has a number of circuits that meet that bill, go to any FLAPS and buy a couple of the fuse tap thingys...

You can download an owner's manual here that has the fuse box diagram and circuit descriptions.

Here's the wiring diagram for the headlight switch, you can tap a dim-able illumination signal off of the LB/RD wire from the fuse box, fuse #37...
