i had the same issue so i had a pair of magnaflow cats welded in for $160 total, way cheaper than buying a catted midpipe

As everyone has said...just put some cats on it..will help that out A LOT.

I had a catted x w/ flowmaster 40s and it just wasn't loud enough for me..but then again im 19 so i swapped out for o/r h with dynomax bullets (solved the noise issue) haha.

DO CATS

Put longtubes on it, they will make it quieter while cruising but it will really wake up when your on the gas. I have longtubes, off road H, and flowmaster catback and i love it.

see added above...

OP, if you would go with a muffler like the SLP Powerflo, that would solve both problems while still remaining o/r to give better flow. It will still be somewhat loud as anything without cats is going to be a reasonable sound level. But choosing a different muffler/catback will solve your problem while allowing you to keep the o/r midpipe.

Leave cats off, get yourself a Mac prochamber for like $130 to swap out the bbk, it sound badass on a Mach with the flowmasters.

Yeah Uh with MAC O/R H and MAC catbacks I cant hear my KB, like......at all. Between 2000-2500 is muscle car murder but it actually quiets and smooths down very nicely by 3k.
