Question - Car not making boost.
I'm looking at a kenne bell'd saleen mustang right now, test driving it the other day i noticed it really wasnt making boost. i wouldnt want to chance it buying a car that has a huge problem, the car has 12xxx miles on it. after talking to some of my buddies we decided it was probably a tune issue, being that the last owner just yanked the tune with their tuner and sold that as well. what are some other things it could be? i'm curious because if i can pinpoint what it is i might be willing to buy the car with the boost issue, at a discounted price, and fix it myself. thanks in advance.

Making boost is unrelated to the tune, it's a purely mechanical process; however it may be the last owner deliberately disabled to supercharger when he flashed it back to stock--that would be a wise thing to do.
One of the easiest ways to do this is to wire-tie the bypass valve open. It is normally held open by manifold vacuum until the vacuum falls to 4-5inHg. Tying it open will prevent the blower from making any boost (or maybe just a little).
