Default Looking for suggestions on new exhaust setup

This is for a 96 Cobra. I currently have long tubes, O/R H, and 40 series flows. I had MACs on my old fox body and loved that old school sound, but for some reason...I prefer a different sound on the newer cars.

I'm looking for something a little deeper and maybe slightly louder. Something like the SSS on the 99+ (Apparently they don't make anything for previous years). I thought about Magnapacks but I'm afraid they might be too raspy. I had a X with SLPs on my old 06 and while resonators welded in made it sound a little better, it was still too raspy. (Possibly due to the X pipe).

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Id look into like a LM2 muffler...try it w/ the o/r h and if you don't like it just put in some high flow cats and it will cut it down a lot!

Im lookin into the LM2s w/ my setup for more tone and deepness then my dynomax bullets i have right now lol.

I'm not sure about SLPs at this point. I think they don't really have a specific tone.

I thought about magnapacks as I said but I think they would be just a bunch of noise. The flowmasters are fairly loud. Maybe just regular magnaflows. I know you said they were a little too quiet but I'm thinking with long tubes on a 4v, they would be significantly louder.

I'm thinking if you want both deeper and maybe a tad louder then what you have now, then maybe something like Magnapacks, Stingers, LM 2's, etc...with a catted h. I would highly recommend SSS Terminators with a catted h, but like you said they don't make the kits for anything pre 99. I run the terminators, catted h, and long tubes, and it's probably one of the loudest yet deepest setups i've heard yet.

My buddy has a 00 with shorties, O/R H, and SSS. Sounds awesome. Magnapacks would be a ton louder than flows. I'm thinking about just regular magnaflows.

You cant compare SLP's to magnapacks, Their polar IMO. Magnapacks would give you a deep sound with a catted H like Mrtstang. Stingers with a mac prochamber has a deep sound. Raspy typically comes from an O/R x pipe. I think you'd be very happy with a stinger or magnapack and h or catted H. Check out youtube for some references, it is your friend. lol

The deepest exhaust iv ever heard was my lm2s with catted H and long tubes.

My mac flowpaths with OR h and lts sounds pretty damn deep to though.
