this is his response about the stall speed:

The turbine is in motion at that point so the rpm is relative to that.I am sure there is probably some kind of formula to determine exactly what turbine speed is however it does not really matter, it won’t change anything. With the turbine held it will not go that far. Be careful in the rain if you have never driven something like that before.

he did say when i ordered it that i should flash the converter to 2k to launch, but with just foot braking it i should be able to get it up to about 2800, and I did try it earlier and he's right on the money as it holds it to about 28/2900 and at 3k it's doing a burnout.

Hmmm...seems to me he really didn't answer your question, I guess that depends on what/how you asked the question. Any time the turbine is in motion it means the car is in motion so of course the turbine is in motion at that point in your video. Stall speed is determined by the rpm the converter has to spin to overcome a load and move the turbine.

I still think you're over stalled. Again I'm not expert but from what I heard/was told when shopping around for my converter is these cars like 3500-4000 stalls. My car is stalled at 4000 rpm even though he said it would be a 3800 stall. I'm sure the stall will help you none the less I just would like to see what he thinks about how your stall might be too high.

well which gears do you have in your car? from the looks of what you posted from tci they make a difference on how high the converter stalls to. while it does seem excessive in terms of rpm my car still seems to pull better even from a roll, where i thought the converter would have no affect.

Well that's good you can tell it pulls harder.

I have 4.10s in my car. If you're going to be spraying and sticking with a 26" tire you'll run out of gear around 110mph with 4.10s.

well as sad as it is even on a 100 shot i prolly wont be trapping much higher than 110. and I'd like to set the car up more so for motor. I'd like to start bracket racing it more often and deff dont plan on spraying it as i'll go broke refilling the bottle lol.

4.10s would be good and a bare minimum when N/A IMO. 4.30s will pretty much limit you to all motor only passes as you'll run out of gear around 102mph lol

I dont want 4.30's just for the fact that i still dd this lol. I have a set of roundyround hoosiers that are 27" i can throw on if i need them. I'm sure they'd still hook ok on this car.

a stall wont change your speed. but with 4.10's and a 26" tire you're looking at approximetely 112mph in 3rd, and 160 in 4th, both at 6,000rpm.
