Default 2010 Ford Fusion Sport

Anyone own one? Seems majority of this forum ranges from 18-30 yr old but I figured i would ask. With gas around me at $4.17 for premium, I've had bad dirty thought about different cars and gas mileage.

I have seen a blue Fusion Sport in blue on the highway. Sock wheels, darker tint, and lowered about 1" I would guess and it looks sweeeeet.

Anyone have one? Drove one? Interior looks pretty nice, but I prob say a fully loaded one with nav system etc.

Not like I'm going to get into one, but down the road who knows. I've tried to think about cars I wouldn't mind getting into if I got rid of my Mach. A 06ish GTO came up but the 6.0L wouldn't do any better on gas LOL. Then I thought a 2000ish Miata and have it a really fun little corner carver, but I would miss a V8 sound, not to mention it's LESS practical than the stang lol. Then came the idea of a newer car and not mod it but just drive it. Thus came the Fusion Sport

I know people like Rob will come to flame me, but i was wondering what car some of you would get into and sacrifice the modding for. I would need something that is somewhat sporty right off the bat in both looks and performance. Fusion has the looks for me, but unsure of performance. For a 4 door car I think it's pretty sweet looking.

my wife and my daily beater is an 08 Mercury Milan V6.

it has the 6spd auto and a few other things: 18" rims, H&R lowering springs, slotted rotors, Hawk pads, CAI, headers, a 3" exhaust, and i tuned it with SCT to shift at 7000 and bump the timing etc.

its a really fun car, the wife loves it, my kid does and so do i lol

havent brought it to the track yet but im guessing itll be in the low 14 range too, theyre pretty damn quick.

lemme try to dig up some pics, it aint exactly the babied ride lol

Fusions are nice, but the interior on em is not worth the price IMO. They are like a little nicer Focus on the inside. I would rather have an older Accord with a REALLY nice interior for a DD.

The new Focus interior isn't bad, either.

I like the Fusions. The Fusion Sport has the bigger 3.5 V6 @ 260hp IIRC.

For a college student like myself, I would consider driving a 01+ Taurus if gas was a concern and I had to get rid of the Mustang. Those cars seem comfortable. An 03+ Accord wouldn't be bad either, but those would be more expensive.

I'm talking about a car I could put some minor stuff on, tint, lowered, wheels etc and still have it a car that will turn heads.

I don't think I could do the Accord thing...not a honda guy one bit. The 01 taurus would DEFF not happen. Unless it's a new Taurus SHO...I'd rock one of those too.

Even the older Fusion's are not bad cars, either. They did not have the 260 V6 but the 3.0 V6 they did have still moved.

Have you driven a newer Taurus/Sable? They drive like bigger cars but other than that they are comfortable cruisers.

My future wife will be told loud and clear that I'd rather stab myself in the ********* with a cattle prod than give up my toys. Zero Negotiation.

On the other hand, the Fusion is a nice little car. A friend of a friend of mine, has one of the all wheel drive ones and threw a 100 shot on it. That little F'er moves.

I haven't but the new taurus got BIG lol it looks beefier. I love the way those look too but I figured the Fusions were lighter and a little more nimble/fun. if I went taurus it would be a new sho.
