i didnt have the same problem as you but i had questions about my gt before i got it inspected about some unsupported options and not ready options on the inspection report that was given to me when i bought the car. unsupported status wont fail you unless you have some things turned off such as the o2s or egr for example because those are a must in ma, and i doubt nj has anything really different in the inspection check then us. not readys, well you said you didnt drive it much since it died over the winter the cpu probley is still resetting so drive it so you get updated. thats my advise.
