my car runs good at steedy speed then when i step on it it falls on its face and seams like its running on 5 or 6 cylinders any help would be greatly appreciated thanks

if the light is on get it scanned so you know the code. diagnosing a vehicle without knowing the codes is a waste of time.

I will guess water or anti-freeze in the spark plug holes. That is the first thing I would check...

there is no water/antifreeze in the spark plug holes the check engine light did come on today so i read the codes there was 2 codes one was p0308 which is cylinder 8 miss fire and the other is p0308 p and i cant find anything online to tell me what that code is??? any one know??

well there is your problem cylinder 8... swap the coils to see if the problems follows the coil to diagnose... if not than it may be sparkplug.. or wires for coil or fuel injector...
