Default Road Racing at Carolina Motorsports Park

I got my competition license in Nasa back in February and this is our racing from last weekend. This was my 3rd and 4th race ever in wheel 2 wheel. Its such a blast out there... I love it!

The car that I'm running is in my signature. Its a C5Z with the basic T1 package (shocks, springs, swaybars, rollcage, harness, 100 octane tune, otherwise stock LS6 motor, 386 rwhp, 375 rwtq) with a few other odds and ends on it. This is the Saturday race as I qualified 4th overall and 2nd in Super Touring 2. Ran the entire race in 2nd until another fellow ST2 vette got around me with one lap to go. Tires started to fall off at the end and I caught traffic pretty bad a couple of times. But I learned alot and hope to apply that to my next event at Road Atlanta in June.

So anyways... here is my in-car video. Hope you enjoy it. Sorry its a little shakey... first time I've used it and I need to work on making it more still the next time around. And I know this is mostly vette related, but I'm out on track with the AI (American Iron) and CMC (Camaro Mustang Challenge) classes that you see me passing out there. So there's my mustang content for this video. Enjoy!

The two cars in front of me were 500-600 hp monsters... can't quite keep up with them.

I did have an Electron Blue C5Z, but I sold it in early 09. I bought this one in April 2010. This is only the 5th weekend I've had the car on track so I'm still just getting used to it. Its a blast to drive though... much more prepped than my old C5Z and handles so much better too.

To buy the one I have now

I wanted a car that was race prepped instead of building the blue one. I couldn't afford to build it as opposed to buying one that was ready to go as soon as I bought it.
