Default Strut Shaft Comparison Pictures

Well, i installed some bilsteins off of an 03 cobra today... Took me a few hours to do the install.. A buddy and I were messin around half the time, but not having an impact really killed us.

Anyways, after switching from 94-04 tokico hp's up front to the bilsteins, the car rides SO much better. The front doesn't really bounce anymore like it used to. Now i just need to order up some HD's for the rear and hope my car rides like a dream again!!

Also, my car did NOT raise up any amount whatsoever when installing the cobra struts up front. I heard they were going to raise my car nearly 1/2" due to the extra compression in the strut, but they didn't even raise it a mm...

I know that there are some pics like this floating around, but i wanted to show you guys the difference in the strut shafts. Tokico HP vs stock Cobra bilstein (aka bilstein HD).

Overall, same ride height, much better ride quality. I hope some bilstein shocks improve the ride quality as good, if not better than the struts did. I'll be happy.

Anybody know if the 94-04 shocks use bumpstops?

Yeah. The bilstein's gotta be 3x the size of the tokico shaft...

The funny thing is that when the tokico's are first compressed, i can use one hand to push them all the way into the tube. Once they compress once, the oils foam up and when i go to push the shaft back down, it puts up a fight!!!

The bilsteins take the same amount of effort to push in no matter what.

Anybody who has installed a mustang shock, i need to know what kind of SHOCK you installed and if they came with the bumpstops or not...

I'm ready to order my shocks, but idk if they come with bumpstops or if i re-use my stock ones...

HA HA kev... yeah buddyyyy

Do they come with the bumpstops no matter where i order them from?

How about the lower urethane pieces for the lower connection? Do i need new ones of those or do the shocks come with it?

Where are you buying them from? Order them through CJ Pony Parts. They'll get you anything you want from MM and I think they are on a kick of offering free shipping. So for you it would be a win/win.
