sct tuner - what now?
I have to admit, with the tuners I purchased for my turbo diesel, it was simple, add power. With this sct deal, there is a bunch of stuff I can change. I have the open Hpipe, I have the flowmaster 40's. A CAI with Donaldson (amsoil) conical filter. Not much more, but I see all sorts of tuning options to pick.
4.10 gear set kit will be here next week. That, I know what to so with, but is there any special settings I should be using? Running 92 octane at the time, should I set the tuned for 93 or 91? What about WOT lean/rich?
I have access to a dyno, but not often.
Set the shift firmness at +15% between 1-2 at wot and on wet pavement, it almost sent me into a posi spinout.

I have been wandering the same questions about setting the tune on my car. I just run what BAMA sent me, their the proffesionals lol. If I had more knowledge on tuning, I'd probably just do a custom tune on it. Do you not have 93 octane available near you?

I have (92) octane in this area and I have come to the conclusion that it isn't REALLY 92, I had the 91 octane setting on the SCT and it was pinging on hills that it normally just cruised up on 87.
My FRPP 4.10 install kit just showed up, time to get to work. The only real values I see in the tuner are the rev limiter, trac control disable, shift firmness and then WOT mix+ shift timing. I have been a gearhead for as long as I can remember, but I can never remember spark changing from 0-2000 to 2000-4000 RPM. To me, spark is spark and messing with it on an ECU controlled engine with no distributor is for the real pros.
