Default Will the 2004 GT Stang be collectible?

Been looking for a newer model Mustang. I came across a 2004 GT 40th year made. I have no idea of how many of these were produced but does anyone think they will become collectible? This is my second Stang my first being a 1969 GT. I found the 69 back in 1987 before the muscle car craze and bought it for $2,500.00. Put about 10K into restoration but I am sure it is worth more than $12,500.00 I have in it. Any ideas on the 2004 and its collectabilty? Tanks, Eric

I do kinda think that a lower mileage GT which is complete stock will be a collectable in maybe 40 50 years from now (if there's any still around). Because not too many people keep the miles off these GT's and/or don't MOD them. And do to those facts is why i think yes, under certain conditions.

Your better bet for "new edge" collectable's if you want to call it that is 03-04 Mach 1's & Cobra's.

I very much doubt it will be considered collectible. Too many of them made. Drive it and enjoy it.

The only ones I really see being considered collectible in the far future are limited production editions.
