Default Choosing new Tires!

Okay so im fed up with these 255 N3000's and in the quest of getting the car to stick to the ground better im looking for new tires. I live in FL so it doesnt get to cold but it does like to rain and I also dont need a DR. I want something for DD and that will be good around curves but sticky enough to handle my new hp. Also would i be fine leaving my nexans up front and putting (for example) the nt555's in the rear?

Options ive looked up
Nitto NT555's

Falken Ziex ZE502

BFGoodrich G-force Sport

Continental Extreme Contact DW
http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....omCompare1=yes

Firestone Firehawk Wide oval Indy 500

Obviously I know everyone loves the Nitto's and i think they would suit me fine. But how are they in wet conditions?
Wondering if anyone has experience with the others ?
thanks!

HEY... I should sue you for Copyright-thread infringement

I have no experience with the tires you need, so cannot be of any more assistance than to just rip you for stealing my line

lol but yeah ive looked through your threads numerous times done searches etc.

What tires are you running?
and would it be okay to mix the different compounds for front and back? Im thinking it could lead to over/understeer

I would probably get BFG KDW2s.

yeah ive heard alot of good things about them if i could find a place with a decent price on them in 275/40/17's ide give them a shot

also is it true that Nitto's run small that a 315 will fit like a 275 on a 17x9 wheel?

I've been using toyo proxes t1r's for 4 years now, good wet, great dry, even better warm, stiff sidewalls and kinda heavy.

You might want to look into Nitto NT05's. They're not a drag radial, but apparently they're pretty sticky for a street tire. My buddy just got a pair, and pulled a 1.8 60ft. with basically stock suspension.

Also you can technically fit a 315 Nitto 555R on a 9 inch rim (the 555R's run smaller than most) but it still will bulge and not be an ideal fit.

I've had the NT05's on for about a year and they are a great tire. Awesome grip in re dry and very good in the wet as well. Don't recall having ever lost traction in the wet without doing it on purpose.

I have the NT05R's and they are a terrible wet tire, you can't go more than about 35 mph before they start to hydroplane really bad if it is raining hard at all. They are a great dry tire, but complete crap when wet. if it even had a chance of rain I would just leave the car in the garage.
