Default need some opinions from guys with pypes LTs

im in the market for some LTs and ive narrowed it down to eith pypes or mac. im pretty solid on macs, but ive gotten really mixed reviews about the pypes and was wondering if i could get some of your opinions/experiences with your pypes LTs. i.e. are you happy with them? do you regret getting them? and so on.

thanks in advance,
Endrance

I have never likes pypes. Do you know if your transmission will fit through any of those two long tube choices? That should be your deciding factor.

as of right now i have pypes lts matched with their o/r h pipe and ill tell you i will never pay for another product from them. they are cheap and their bends are terrible. dont even get me started on their customer service. you can guarantee my next mustang will have kooks. my vote would be for mac

My experience is somewhat neutral. When I bought my LTs from them, they had just come out so they where offering a rebate with them. I got a brand new set of stainless lts for 250 bucks.

That being said, the fit was decent. Took me a little extra time in moving the steering shaft a little to not hit the primary, other than that install went well. The welds on mine are great, the bends looked good.

Fast forward to present time, and my "stainless" headers have some pitting and rust on the bottom near the collection tube. Not that big of a deal, but a tad annoying, considering the advertise metallurgic specs.

Would I buy them again at their current price? Probably not, but at the time it was a smokin deal and they have done their job, i dont regret the purchase.

I have had nothing but bad luck with their midpipes though. They apparently have some X BBK employees over their designing their parts. 2 midpipes I recived from them had the 02 bungs welded on upside down, so if you had to run rear o2s they would snap off if you went over a speed bump. The tolerances on their bends are not very tight either, so expect some leaks.

One more question off the top of my head, the diameter I should go on them would be 1 5/8 correct? I'm not going to make my car fi at any point, the furthest I want to go is heads/cams.

ROFL at comparing MAC to SLP...not even in the same balpark. The Pypes LTS are better than your standard MACS because of the heat dissipation of the stainless. With the exception of dealing with the steering shaft clearance, there is zero difference functionally between mac and pypes.. infact I think Pypes copied macs design.
