HO Fibertrends makes quality hoods. I would get one of those in a heartbeat.

Wheres the 'Stock hood with giant holes cut randomly in it" option at?

I'll even let you use my stock hood, and I'll take your heat extractor from you.

Or, after you get this hood, you could sell me yours.

Killjoy is correct. The low pressure created at the rear of the hood will draw air when moving, and exhale when still. Either way it will help to exchange air in the engine compartment with outside air better than the factory hood does.

I would get the cf one. Its probably lighter than all of the other ones and looks just as good.

This is the real reason for the direction of airflow. Remember, air molecules, just like electricity and anything else with fluids etc are lazy and will always flow in the path of least resistance. My comment was pertaining to the comment of when you're stopped and see the heat rising out of the cowl which is why I said what I said. But yes, you are absolutely correct with the low pressure comment. Glad to see that some people know a little about basic aerodynamics!

The carbon fiber one is probably lighter but about twice as much.

I think its only a couple hundred more, but you don't have to paint it so it ends up costing less overall.

Why would you want a 5" cowl on a street car?

I would paint it anyway. I don't care for the look of unpainted carbon fiber hoods. Plus I think it would stand out way too much on his sonic blue.
