Default Saleen Bodykit Questions

I have been wandering for the longest time about the side vent on the front and rear bumper on saleen kits. Are the only open and "functional" on a true saleen or are there after market bodykits that have them as well. Mine doesnt have the vents open, I think my car would look better with them open. does anyone know if their is a saleen decal kit that fills in these vents to make them look better, or am I going to have to get creative? I havent really seen any good pictures of these vents to see how there done.

Also, anyone know where I can get the black decal to go between the Exhaust pipes on the rear bumper? There's a pic of what I'm talking about on AM's site on the Saleen kit.

I'm pretty sure they are real. you could always paint the slats a flat black if you do not want to take a chance of ruining the bumpers by cutting them

My front bumper is already ruined due to an ignorant possum lol. And my front bumper is fiberglass as well as the rear, I assume. But given the condition of my bodykit, I'll more than likely try to just paint in the look I want. I was just hoping there was a decal kit, which I think there should be. Any suggestions on prepping well enough to get the paint to stick. The last time I painted was on urethane and I just sanded, It didnt hold up so good.

sand, prime, sand, prime, sand, prime, sand, paint, sand, paint, sand paint, sand, clear, sand clear, sand clear..

Lots of redundant steps but when I did some painting I layered on a lot. Low grit sand paper, wanna rough it up just a little not enough to scrape off a layer of paint. Also waiting till it's fully dry is very important. I used a heatlamp on low setting to speed up the drying process, don't put it too close though.

If you sand all the way down to bare, you might want to lay down a coat of Adhesion Promotor to help the paint stick.
