To do water box or not to do water box
Heading to the track once again tomorrow night to see if I can get my times a little better. But I have a question for everyone. I have heard different things about this so I thought I would ask you guys/gals and see what you think and to see what you have done. Should I use the water box or should I just do a quick tire spin in front of the water box before my run?? I have heard it helps and I have heard that it doesnt help if you have stock tires. Thoughts?????

I figured you guys would say avoid the water box which is good because thats what I was leaning towards doing. Gonna need to get all the traction I can get tomorrow, high is supposed to be 95 degrees and will be 89 degrees when the track opens so the track will be a little hot.

As mentioned by the guys above, stay out of the water and just turn the tires over a couple of rotations to clean the junk off of them. NO burnout!
Are you going to Kinston tomorrow?
I have heard they don't prep the track very well, but that won't matter much with street tires. They don't hook at the track anyway.
Good luck and post up your results afterwards!

The next post nailed it, around the box, one or two rotatiions to clean your wheels off. If you burn off street tires you're sliding the whole way down the track.
