car started on fire...no power brakes now??
i blew a power steering line while gang raping on an sti and a vette on only 10psi of boost and an 11 a/f not been on the dyno yet. i pulled prolly up to about 140-150mph and got off of it and i noticed my power steering was going out so i get off and pull over(at this point i'm pretty sure my brakes worked) and pop the hood. smoke everywhere. then i notice a fire starting so luckly i keep a fire extinguisher in my truck and grab that as the fire was getting bigger(the fluid had soaked my heat wrap and started it on fire). i put the fire out.
i check everything and its good to drive. i start driving and no power brakes. the pedal is hard when i push on it no give at all(still have brakes when u push really hard). i checked the fluid and it hasen't gone down a drop. i don't get why blowing a power steering line would make my power brakes stop working. what would cause this?

The brake booster in these cars is assisted by the power steering unit. More thank likley you have an air pocket in the system which is causing your issues. Take the cap off and run the car and turn the steering wheel from one side to the other repeadeatly and keep checking the fluid level.
