Got me thinking. General discussion about 4.6 vs 3.8 here... (Following rules)
What is the fastest 3.8 Mustang around?

/\ That thread is from 2006 here on MF... (ill quote the good part for some people)

Again, VMP's website verifies engine is completely stock. HCI( this was on the first page of google when i searched out Fastest 3.8 mustang. ) Plus VMP is close to me sooo I have seen it run. before i even owned a mustang. 7 years ago?? maybe 8?
On a Side note, I have the fastest 2v, Single power-adder Mustang... There are faster than me, But mine is 3500lbs, Stock wheels, stock suspension, stock radio, only running 14lbs of boost.. The guys running 18 pounds are cheating cause im only running 14lbs.. so im the fastest 2v with 14psi, Stock interior, Suspension, tires, Mineral Gray, with cloth seats, that didnt do a burnout at the track and went when it was 100deg's out. There is not another faster 2v that has done it in the conditions that i have. My 60ft was a 2.0 so find another 2v that runs what i run with that 60ft...
What are the 4.6 guys thoughts?? I would LOVE to build a car like justin's v6. Just to be a sleeper. I guess you would just have to KNOW what you are doing. SPend the money in the right places and be able to drive? Curious on the suspension setup they used.
Anyway, Im off to the GT500 section to brag that my 2v with a 175 shot will beat every one of them on this forum...
(Please notice the extreme sarcasim through most of this post, thank you, Minus Justins's TT V6 that thing really is BAD ***!!! )

Justin Starkey from www.vmptuning.com is also in the 10's with his Twin turbo setup on an internally stock 3.8
imagine what Justin's car would do with heads/cam/intakes

Justin's TT set up was pretty sweet. 10s on a stock motor with twins set a nice mark. Matt Neuharth broke into the 9's in his single turbo back in like '04 or '05.
"Fastest" is hard to say. Fastest quarter mile or fastest top end? A few V6 guys are kicking around the idea of some saltflat runs at some point.
IIRC the highest hp V6 is 900 flywheel right now (stock 3.8 block from Ford). The days of really pushing the limit of those motors have faded into history I fear. Early and mid 2000s was really when things heated up. 500 hp + isn't uncommon in the world of modded V6s.
As for KillJoy... I heard someone make a comment about him going to the V6 section and 'beat his chest'. The V6 section would only point and laugh. 12 sec quarter isn't anything special at all anymore. Especially when the old pushrod V6s go 11's NA.
