Fuel mileage
#11
On long trips I've never gotten worse than 25 and a best of 28.4 going to VA. Normal driving back and forth from home to school and such on the weekends I get around 20ish. No idea why I dont get better but oh well.

Not much more stop and go, but definitely not straight highway. That still should get me around 21-22mpg. Oh well.

i got 27 driving from atlanta to pensacola. it has a K&N cold air intake, flowmasters, eibach lowering suspension, and racing tires. not sure brand or size but they are very wide. all those except the tires help with the gas milage. try putting a cold air on it. it makes a huge difference. it is a mustang though if you wanted to get good mpg you bought the wrong car
But again as above, I did not buy my Mustang for fuel mileage, but how many people here can say they honestly wouldn't want a free mod done to get them 50mpg in their Mustang? Not one person can honestly say that, so these useless posts about you shouldn't have bought a Mustang are just wasted text and time off peoples lives reading them.
Wow...heres my mods list.
JLT CAI
Magnaflow catted x
FRPP Catback
03 Cobra IRS w/ 3.55's
Heavy a$$ 18x9/10.5 03 Cobra replicas with 335/30's out back(Wheel and tire weighs over 65lbs)
Full Coilover suspension
FTBR bushing kit
91 canned tune running 93 gas
Nothing there really shouts "I'm helping get better mpg!" Running cruise control actually ruins gas mileage and so does traveling over 65mph. For every 5mph over 65 you go, you will decrease your gas mileage by 1mpg. Just throwing that out there guys.
Good luck getting better gas mileage. I've found shifting between 1800-2100rpm will also help get the best mpg for me. Lugging it and shifting below 1500rpm doesnt help.

I get a consistent 23-24 mpgs and I have 4.10 gears. I run at 2500-2700 rpms down the highway too and still get at least 23 every time. Its all about how you drive, roll stop signs when you can watch ahead when coming to a light intersection so that you can catch the green light and don't accerate to hard. I use these things when driving my daiyl driver which is a 2000 jeep cherokee sport which is noturious for bad mpgs and get 23 mpgs out of every tank with it.

Thanks for he update. Who said it was of big concern or that I bought my car for fuel mileage? If I can be getting 26-28mpg why would I ignore a possible issue with my car?
I have a CAI already, 75mm TB, Upper intake elblow, Magnaflow catback, UDP and the lowering springs. All of which IMO should help MPG apart from the springs.

Yup no reason to waste money, I don't take some trips because I know how much it will cost. But I get 23MPG going any speed 65-85, I see no difference hardly at all. I actually might see slightly better at 85, but that's asking for trouble so I don't usually do that.

Where do you even live, altitude can be a big factor in mpg, humidity, temp, fuel quality, driving habits, tires, 100's of things affect fuel economy.
