Default need help with tire size 26'' tall or 27'' tall

so i am buying new wheels trying to figure out which tire size will be better at the track. i am either going with the 17'' sve wheels or the 15'' billet specialties street lites, i would rather go with the 17'' wheels but i dont know about hooking at the trackwith the 26'' tall slick that M/T makes anyone have good luck with those?

Street Lites with a 27" the shorter sidewall is crap for launching. Oh wait I am kinda biased...

well all i know is 26 inch is factory height pretty much, and my na car ran drag radials not slicks and it hooked good. and i know a guy with a turbo fox running drag radials on that size in a 17 and he runs 1.8 60s with no suspension...so i would think i slick would be fine

That will definately "hook", but the shorter sidewall of a 15" rim will just help that much more for racing at the track. I consistently cut 1.72-1.73 60' times on mine with stock power and minor suspension mods.
