Rear Brake Upgrade

Rear Brake Upgrade
Need some help here guys. Do all rear brake upgrades require you to pull the diff cover and axles? I know the Cobra upgrade does and so does the Baer kit I was looking at. Really didnt want to get involved in all that. Thanks

Are you saying you're converting from drum to disk?
I have Cobra f and r, and the axles had to come out. However, I told the wife that since the axles are out, it makes sense to do the gears now. And adding an aluminum cover would make sense, since the old one is off. And a tuner, to recal the speedo is absolutely necessary now....
But if you just want to make the back have a larger disk for appearances, Steeda has a kit to do that without pulling the axles. It comes with a relocation bracket and new disks, but reuses the stock caliper. Again, it's an appearance mod for the most part.

I could be wrong but from what I've read the rear cobra brakes use the same caliper just a different bracket. Swap the bracket put the cobra rotors on and reuse your caliper. Some guys have also just ground the rear bracket down to make the bigger rotors.fit. there was a write up on it on here I believe.

sorry to bring up an old thread, but the links that were used for the steeda adapter are no longer in use, so could some one possibly post a new one with just the bracket adapter. the only thing i'm finding on their site is with a rotor combo.
I'm simply upgrading the rear brakes to the cobra version.
Thanks
