i think slp has such a bad rep because of their straight through mufflers with little to no packing, i have slp catted x with slp powerflo catback and it sounds like it would meet your standards in deep tone and no rasp

like others said as well SSS and magnaflow could be good choices

edit: SLP powerflos are straight through but have packing, this video makes it sound really quiet but its just the camera and lots of tire noise, didnt see that you didnt like magnaflow so forget that, and sorry for my friend talking

If you are looking for that classic muscle car rumble you want flowmasters with a H pipe. O/r or with cats depends on how loud you want it. What I would do is first get the cat-back of your choice and then decide what type of mid-pipe you want.

I LOVE borla personally, but they are pretty raspy and pop alot during deceleration which I think is great
