Are my CC plates installed correctly
While I was doing my 4v swap I lowered my car with a CJ Pony pro kit and MM cc plates. It doesn't look like I got that much drop and the nuts on the strut are contacting my cobra hood.I was just wondering if they're on correctly and if they're not would that give me anymore drop.I talked to Uber and we both think the spacers are in the wrong place but we're not sure.Any help/guidance is appreciated.

You should at least put one of the spacers on the strut shaft under the cc plate to give you a bit more clearance. It won't affect ride height at all, but it will solve the hood contact issue. As for the ride height, the springs will settle a bit within the next couple weeks of driving. If the drop isn't enough after that, you might want to consider removing the spring isolators or choosing a different set of springs

Not sure what struts you have, but i do know that you have to have at least one spacer under the plate or you will do damage to the bearing. In the MM instructions it calls for 2 large and 1 short spacer above the bearing and 1 short bellow the bearing for lowered cars but could be different depending on your struts.

^Are you positive that it is different per struts generally?
I have Bilsteins and the MM directions say it should be 2 large and 1 short above the bearing, but I have it the other way around and it sits ok unless I screwed something up.

Well it is more the height of the car that governs where the spacers go. Stock ride hight would be 2 long,1 short under plate. The Tokico 3026 at any hight the same as stock configuration. Lowered (any strut) would be 1 short under plate and 2 long, 1 short above plate. Thats right out of the MM instructions. You can download them online at there web site if you lost or need the instructions. I have Tokico blues with steeda lower springs and have it per instructions with no hood contact (2 long, 1 short above plate and 1 short bellow plate).

^I called MM about my CC plates and they said that their instructions are correct for what I have, but I was placing the jack under the wrong spot when I was initially installing this. That was my error and I have corrected it so that it is properly set up on my car.
