Default bang for the buck

i know it's gears but since i am still undecided on turbo or kenne bell i am holding off.

so would a higher stall converter or some cams be better?

How does turbo or kenne bell effect gears. With either of those id run 3.55 assuming you're going to have a decent power level

3.73's with an auto, you want to load the turbo so it gets in its sweet spot, those will be a nice as long as youre making some good power...

ford racing performance products gears are fine.... if you are going to a 31 spline diff, you might as well do axels too but its gonna get a little expensive...

FRPP makes gears just fine. Just make sure you get the gears that are not marked with an M at the end of the part number. And I wouldn't run any higher than 3.55's with either of the two power adders, no matter auto or manual.

And any of the frpp diffs will do you fine.

Here we go again, its like every gear thread. FRPP gears are made by motive, motive gears are IDENTICAL quality to frpp gears. Also Richmond gears are just as good, every single monster mudder or offroad vehicle usually has richmond gears, and those rears in those vehicles take WAY more abuse that a mustang.

If he wanted to load the turbo, he would use a longer gear... not a shorter one. If I was doing another 2v, I would probably stick with 3.27 for a manual and 3.55 for an auto.
