What do you think about buying these stock wheels?

I understand why you guys say a 50% offer is offensive. I wasn't really offering him half I said I hoped he would say half, but offered him $200. (67%)
I think that was fairish. A detail I didn't mention is that these are in a city that's 100 miles away so with gas it'll be a bit more pricey of a total. That's a big part of why I tried to get a lower price.

If you offered him $150 (see first post) and his asking price was $300, that is an offer of exactly 1/2 the price.
Your cost to go get them should NOT be a worry of the seller. If I had a guy from Europe buy my car, then tell me shipping price was equal to the car and I should give it to him free... I'd just laugh at him.

I emailed him and asked what was the lowest he was willing to go. He said $250. I replied and said, "I was hoping you would say something like $150...but that's probably too low huh?" He said, "yeah, that's too low".
So I replied and said, "well if you don't find a buyer and would like to meet in the middle at $200 then I'll take them off your hands."

Anyway...I understand the cost of travel isn't a factor to the seller. It is however a consideration to me, the buyer. Which is why I would try to get the best deal possible.
Regardless, the point of this thread was to see if you all thought his counter offer of $250 is fair for used stock wheels. I think the general concensus is that it is...as long as they are in good condition.
So thanks to all of you for your comments.
