I want QUIET exhaust!
Once upon a time I had the offroad prochamber and Mac catback. In an effort to shut the damn thing up (it was cool for awhile) I had 2 Magnaflow cats welded into the prochamber. Well that did help some and I like that the rasp is gone, but its still LOUD to me. The drone at 2200rpm-ish is just stupid. I'm assuming it's all the Mac mufflers. So say I cut those out and weld in some Magnaflow mufflers...is that going to make a BIG difference? Please let me know if you have real world experience with these two types of mufflers.

Borla Hush mufflers....
Friend had them on his Built STI... WOT they are QUIET!!! You can also put some electronic cutouts after the x pipe...(wanted to build a beastly v8 with a v6 body and do this)
Still thinking about getting these mufflers.... I am tired of people hearing my car from over a mile away when WOT... Not good for the PoPo population around here...

I guess I figured the diameter of the stock mufflers was smaller than the tubing of my Mac catback and it'd just be easier to get Magnaflows that might weld in easier? I don't mind the noise if I've got it ***** to the wall, but if I'm just driving around leisurely, I really want it pretty quiet.

I put cats on it. It did make a difference in sound (not as raspy) but it did absolutely nothing for the annoying drone - that's apparently all the result of the mufflers
