9 inch rear question (old, what can be re-used?)

Default 9 inch rear question (old, what can be re-used?)
So my brother and i have a Ford 9 inch off a 79 Bronco, with 4.10s or 4.11s whatever gear they used in there... what could be re-used? It's 31 spline.

What do you mean re-used? you mean putting the stuff into your 8.8?(nothing will work in the 8.8) Or rebuilding the 9inch? Does it spin?

you'll need custom fabbed axels. my friend did a 9" swap on his torino

just rebulding the 9 inch.... yeah it spins, worked perfectly on the bronco but i feel like something so old should be rebuilt, atleast as far as seals and stuff go.

Clean it all well, reseal it, check the backlash on the gears and reassemble it.
