Ok, so I apparently offended alot of people with this last post I made here. When I say weekend wrench turner I mean the kid in high school that says "hey lets throw some **** on the car and see what sticks" Make sure that the guy knows something about what he did to the car. I know that you guys turn wrenches on the weekend but I am like you, I trust myself over a ASE certified mechanic everyday but I bet you do the same thing that I do and research the work before you do it and don't just buy stuff and throw it on. Sorry to offend anyone!

I think the key here that very few people are focusing on...especially the OP is, why only these 2 cars???
I mean I saw that you are wanting to trade your car in, but really that's not your only option. Why don't you list your car on craigslist or something and try to sell it yourself for a little more than the trade price.
Get financing from a private bank with the down payment money you'll have from the money you make on the sale of your car. Drive a family members car for a few days while you do tax and title work on a nice Mustang.
That way you can search around and find the RIGHT Mustang.
What is the max price that you are willing to pay? And what are you driving now that you want to trade in?
(year, make, model, mileage, condition?)
In short, my advice is take your time, shop around, BE PATIENT, and get the right car. Why settle for some crap that a dealer is trying to pawn off on you cuz of a trade in.
Just my 2 pennys.

I just re-read the mileage. Bro...that first car was rebuilt at 140,000...and now has an additional 60,000 miles on it! So the majority of the parts are 200,000 miles old and now the second engine is half way to where the first one died with old parts in tow.
All I can figure is that they're offering you these cars DIRT cheap. Are they like $3,000 or something? If not forget it. You can spend around $5,000 and get a way better car than those.
Near Me (I dont' know where you are):
2001 GT
$4800 115,000mi
http://lubbock.craigslist.org/cto/2529122918.html
1994 5.0 GT CONVERTIBLE!
$5,000 120,000MI
http://lubbock.craigslist.org/cto/2446065075.html
And if you can go $6,000 - $8,000 you'd be blown away at the quality/lower mileage you'll find from 94-04.
Hope that gives you the encouragement to be patient and shop around.
