Would you buy this mustang? (99 SVT Cobra)

I went to hear it run and it sounds good. The body has its bad spots and needs some body work. The motor itself has less then 100 miles on it. He never got the car insured or registered so he never drove the car far. only to test drive it after the build. The pistons and rods are from a terminator and the piston is I believe like Je custom pistons or some custom piston brand. There not flat top but dished. He said he was gonna put a supercharger on the car but ran out of money. Compression is 9to1. The crank is also forged and balanced. He showed me the receipts from the machine shop and the specs on the pistons and rods. He said that he didn't have a stretcher to stretch the rods. I don't know how important that is. The guy builds alot of SRT 4's but this was his first Ford build. My main concern is that 100 miles down the road the motor is going to fall apart...

Nothing too scarey there. Just make sure the shop that did the machine work will honor their warranty for you. Maybe get him to sign a 500 mile agreement with you. You can put that on it in two days and see what you think.

He personally put the motor together in his garage or the machine shop did it? I wouldn't touch it with a 10 foot pole if he put it together himself and hes not certified. You'll be out a lot of money if it blows and there will be nothing you can do.

+1 This seems very shady to me...I wouldn't do it. If that motor blows you are out alot of money and on top of the the 99Cobra didn't have a very good IRS anyway...I'd keep looking for any mustang '01 or newer for a good IRS.
