American muscle's prices are the best, so i bought an Ford racing aluminum d/s from them. I also bought a new tail shaft seal, how hard are they to install?

I had Tillman speed install one for me on my previous 2010 stang since that car used a 2 piece d/s. I didn't want to mess with that. I did notice a slight improvement afterwards but the stock shaft on a 2010 is much heavier then my stock 2004 so i don't expect any increase. My tail shaft seal has a small leak so the new driveshaft gives me the ability to fix that with a new seal and get a stronger d/s as i continue to add power to the car...a win win....!!!!

It will take you a week to swap out, but the .75 off your ET is worth it...
Seriously, many guys claim you will notice an improvement in driveline vibration if you have any vibration there now. There is very little reduction in driveshaft inertia with the one piece DS we have. As you mentioned, the two piece units on the newer cars are heavy and actually do gain a small measurable improvement.
You will spend more time raising the vehicle than actually swapping the driveshaft.
